Every major UK supermarket has a dedicated vegan range. Here's our ranking for 2026, with standout products you can check on our scanner.

1. M&S Plant Kitchen

The premium option, 60+ products. No Chicken Kiev and Mushroom Bolognese are genuinely good. New 2026: frozen No Beef Mince, No-Chicken Pieces, almond dairy alternatives. Pricey but worth it.

2. Tesco Plant Chef

Largest range. Strong frozen section from under £2. Best labelling — most have Vegan Society trademark. Search any Tesco product.

3. Sainsbury's Plant Pioneers

Well-curated. Strong chilled section — sausage rolls, No Chicken Goujons, excellent oat cream.

4. Aldi Plant Menu

Budget champion. Mince from 89p, tofu 99p, Ultimate Burgers £2.49. New: Salted Caramel Choc Spread (£1.69).

5. Lidl Vemondo

Competes with Aldi. Best-value oat milk. Smaller range but growing.

6. Co-op GRO

Everything clearly labelled vegan. Mushroom & Red Pepper Sausage Rolls are a highlight.

7. Waitrose Plantlife

Quality over quantity. Jackfruit hoisin wraps, beetroot burgers. Premium prices.

8. Asda

No single branded range but wide variety. Labelling less consistent — scan the barcode.

9. Iceland

Large frozen range including No Bull burgers. Almost all frozen.

Tips

Look for the sunflower. Vegan Society trademark is the gold standard. Own-brand basics (bread, pasta, rice, tinned veg) are almost always vegan and cheapest. "Suitable for vegetarians" ≠ vegan — can still contain dairy, eggs, honey.
